Indesit company’s got talent

IndesitINDESIT Company’s UK HR team is celebrating after a successful night at HR Magazine‘s prestigious HR Excellence Awards held on 29 June in London.

The team beat off stiff competition to pick up the ‘Best Talent Management’ award for its innovative ‘Thinking for Business Success’ (TFBS) programme, which delivered tangible results and benefits for the organisation by tapping into and developing the skills of its own people.

The TFBS programme, developed internally by Indesit Company’s training and development team in 2009, took a group of people from around the organisation and set them ‘real world’ challenges. By working as a team and pooling their creative resources, the group produced a range of cost effective solutions that later became part of the organisation’s business strategy. The first phase of the programme was overseen by business facilitators Go MAD Thinking and TFBS has since proved so successful that it is now in its third wave.

Sarah Coochey, HR Director for Indesit Company, said, “We are delighted to have won such an important award. The TFBS programme has worked on so many levels, from providing personal development to making a real difference for the business in a tough economic climate.”

The ‘Best Talent Management Strategy’ award, which was judged by a panel of respected HR directors, CEOs and academics, was presented to Lyn Green, organisational development manager, at the awards dinner held at The Hilton Hotel, Park Lane.
