Fun event will benefit road safety charity

  • Charity race night, auction, buffet dinner and Northern Soul disco in aid of BRAKE, the road safety charity
  • City Club, Peterborough will host Cardinus Risk Management event on November 24

A CHARITY evening featuring cine racing and an auction will be held at the City Club, Peterborough on Saturday November 24, 2012. Held during Road Safety Week, proceeds from the evening will go to the road safety charity BRAKE.

The evening is being organised by Peterborough-based Cardinus Risk Management. Auction items will include a football signed by the Manchester United squad, one of the last motor racing photographs to be signed by the late Ayrton Senna, two tickets to an Arsenal Champions League game, signed photographs of the Welsh Rugby team, various montages of sporting heroes, including Henry Cooper, Rory McIlroy and Jenson Button, a Northampton rugby shirt signed by the team, a spa day, a number of overnight stays in luxury hotels and food, clothing and beauty vouchers.

There will be a buffet dinner and dancing to a Northern Soul disco, too.

Marcus Noble, Managing Director – fleet at Cardinus Risk Management, said, “This is a great opportunity to have a fun night out and help a very worthy cause. We chose BRAKE because the event will be held during Road Safety Week when many businesses campaign to make roads safer and speeds lower to prevent death and injury on our roads. The charity is very close to the hearts of the Cardinus fleet risk specialists who develop training programmes to help prevent road accidents. Come along and have a great night and help to make Britain’s roads safer.”

Tickets for the event cost just £10 and all proceeds go to the charity. Contact Tracey Speke or Christian Mackay on 01733 426015 or email to buy your tickets. Cardinus would also like to hear from you if you would like to donate items or experience-based lots to the charity auction.
