Greenwoods man raises his game

Gilbertson and StevensA NEWLY-promoted solicitor at Peterborough firm Greenwoods has achieved solicitor-advocate status.

Jason Stevens (pictured), who became a senior solicitor in May 2009, joins a prestigious group of solicitors who have been granted higher rights of audience in all courts and in all proceedings in England and Wales. Few solicitors practising in England and Wales have these higher rights of audience so Jason’s solicitor-advocate status will add a new dimension to the services offered to Greenwoods’ clients.

Kathryn Gilbertson (also pictured, left), director and head of business defence said, “This is a marvellous achievement. Studying whilst fulfilling a full-time role is particularly demanding. Gaining this qualification has been especially challenging for Jason as the business defence department has been so busy. This makes Jason’s achievement all the more impressive.”

Jason worked closely with a local barrister as part of this qualification, which was awarded by the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
