PETERBOROUGH-based training provider Toojays has published a paper looking at relationship awareness. Relationship awareness is a theory developed in the 1970s by psychologist Elias Porter and, according to Toojays, its relevance is as great today as it was 30 years ago.
Lee Martin, managing director of Toojays Training and HR consultancy said, “Understanding your customer is a crucial skill for any successful salesperson. After all, their buying need forms the start of the sales process.
“But how do you go about closing the sale, and more importantly, build a lasting relationship at the same time? The key lies in communicating with your client in their language.”
