A NATIONWIDE recruitment and careers event, which started out in Peterborough, won Community Business of the Year at the SME National Business Awards 2017.
The event was held on 1 December 2017 at Wembley Stadium with more than 450 business people from across the UK coming together to celebrate their achievements over the past year.
Victoria Clarke, director and co-founder of The Job Show (pictured left, with co-founder Caroline Connaughton on the right) said, ‘’We are delighted and thrilled to win The Community Business of the Year Award. This recognition will give us even greater determination to continue producing more rewarding and successful recruitment and careers events for the community and make a difference.’’
The Job Show gathers the region’s top employers, training providers, universities, colleges and organisations all under one roof and takes place at Premiership, Championship and Division 1 football clubs. The Job Show aims to give job seekers the perfect platform to unite talent with opportunity and come face-to-face with top employers seeking quality candidates.
The idea behind The Job Show was sparked by the doom and gloom of the current tough economic climate, when the founders recognised a need to revitalize traditional job seeking strategies, firmly believing that ‘people buy people’ and a face-to-face meeting is vital in the digital age.
