Colin Edmondson has joined Coloplast as sales director for the continence division.

PETERBOROUGH-BASED medical devices company Coloplast has appointed Colin Edmondson as sales director for the continence division.

Colin has joined Coloplast from Baxter Healthcare where he worked as sales director for seven years. As well as heading up the sales management team within Coloplast’s continence division, Colin is working with the senior management team to set the strategic direction of the organisation.

When asked about his move to Coloplast Colin said, “Working for Coloplast has given me a new, exciting challenge. The focus on going from good to great, on what it takes to achieve a future as a market leader, on education as well as product development, it really is a company which lives by its values. My new role gives me the chance to shape the future of Coloplast and to help lead the company to even greater success,” he added.

Coloplast’s HR director, Sam Sedwill, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Colin on board. His wealth of experience and passion for making a difference mean he is ideally placed to help drive the future success of our business, keeping the needs of the customer at the forefront of everything we do.”

Colin joins the board of directors along with Martin Beynon, who was recently promoted to marketing director. Martin, who has worked for Coloplast for seven years, began his career working in London as a nurse advisor in the company’s continence division. A promotion to nurse manager and educational lead saw Martin move to the Peterborough office. He continued to climb the Coloplast career ladder, with further promotions including business development manager and marketing manager, before becoming marketing director earlier this year.
