Peterborough recruitment firm sold for undisclosed sum

TASKFORCE Recruitment, a Peterborough based company, has been bought by the Staffline Group Plc for an undisclosed amount of money to smooth the progress of the exit of the founder.

Russell Page founded Taskforce in Peterborough in 1989, and the company specializes in placing temporary staff into various different work sectors including manufacturing, transport and logistics, public service and food. He said, “This is an exciting deal for both the clients and employees of Taskforce.”

Staffline have expressed their hopes to build on Taskforce’s customer relationships. The Nottingham based buyer operates from over 150 locations across the UK, supplying over 20,000 temporary employees every day.

Andy Hogarth, chief executive of Staffline, said, “We are delighted to complete the acquisition of TFR, a business we have long since admired. We look forward to leveraging their strong regional presence and excellent knowledge base in the field of specialist driving and recruitment.”

Baker Tilly negotiated and secured the deal. Tom Gallop, lead adviser at Baker Tilly, said, “Taskforce is an outstanding business with strong client relationships and has been well run for many years. The recruitment sector in particular is [a sector] where we have completed many deals in recent years and are expecting to see further consolidation of the market in the next 18 months.”
