City accountants’ roll call of appointments

CHARTERED accountants, Saffery Champness have announced a clutch of new recruits this summer which includes three graduates who have embarked upon the firm’s trainee programme from its Peterborough office.

The appointments – which also include two additions to the firm’s tax and payroll specialist service departments, as well as in administrative support – have been made as part of Saffery Champness’s growth plans for its Peterborough-based operation.

Stephen Collins, partner of Saffery Champness, confirms that these plans will see a move, this autumn, to larger city centre premises, from the firm’s current base in Stuart House on City Road. He says: “These new appointments are part of us gearing-up to extend the Saffery Champness offering from the Peterborough office.

“While, as part of our remit as members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW),  we usually do take on one or two trainees, this year we’re delighted that the business is in a position to welcome three trainees on to our training programme as well as expanding our specialist services and support staff with additional personnel at the same time.”

Details of Saffery Champness new office premises are expected to be confirmed later in the summer.
