THE only Peterborough company in the prestigious Sunday Times Top 100 Companies to Work For list for 2010 has launched a new website to help it recruit more staff.

Coloplast’s recruitment website at www.jobsatcoloplast.com gives details of its current vacancies and provides background information on working for the company. If the job you are looking for is not currently being advertised, you can sign up for an email ‘alert’ that will tell you when new vacancies arise.

Current vacancies displayed at www.jobsatcoloplast.com include opportunities to work at the company’s head office on Peterborough Business Park. There are also vacancies for territory managers to join the highly successful sales team in various locations around the country.

Coloplast develops products and services to make life easier for people with deeply personal and private medical conditions which are often associated with trauma and taboo. Coloplast calls this ‘intimate healthcare’.

Sam Sedwill, head of resourcing & development at the company, said, “Coloplast is looking for passionate and driven people who share our passion to make a real difference to people’s lives.”

Earlier this year the company was picked as one of the best employers in the UK by judges at the Sunday Times Best Companies to Work For 2010 awards.

The newspaper based its decision not just on facts and figures but on feedback from Coloplast employees – 75 per cent of employees responded to the questionnaire, giving real insight into what it is really like to work for Coloplast.

Staff were asked about things such as how they feel about the head of the organisation, senior managers and the organisation’s values and principles; how they feel about stress, pressure at work and work-life balance; and the extent to which they feel the company has a positive impact on society.

Other factors looked at included how employees get on with their line managers, training and development opportunities, and – of course – pay and other employment benefits.

Taken together, the staff responses and the company data put Coloplast in the top 100 companies in the UK.
