Focus on clever marketing at Celebration of Communication

BUSINESSES in and around Peterborough will be able to learn from a range of industry experts at a new marketing event next month.

The half-day ‘Celebration of Communication’, to be held at the Allia Future Business Centre on Thursday November 2, offers insight around topics like digital marketing strategy, promotional merchandise, and gender marketing.

Marketing psychologist Katie Hart, of Rhetonic, will explore the topic of gender marketing, and how knowing what is going on inside the heads of your customers will help market to them more effectively.

Dean Lynn, associate director of Datify, will cover the importance of a holistic and cohesive digital marketing strategy, and offer some tips to produce a one page digital marketing strategy.

Gordon Glenister, director general of the British Promotional Merchandise Association, will explain how to maximise the value of corporate gifts and giveaways, provide return on investment, and make them work harder as part of an overall marketing campaign.

Christopher Smith, director of Vibrant Colour Print and Promotional Merchandise, who has created the event, said: “Marketing is essential for any organisation, but sometimes it is important to step back and gather some fresh ideas and inspiration.

He added: “The event includes a range of speakers from across the marketing mix, as I believe it is essential to develop marketing plans that include more than one channel. I hope visitors will return to the office with a spark of an idea to develop further in their own businesses.”

Alongside the speakers, the event includes a promotional product showcase, where visitors can get hands-on with a wide selection of merchandise that can be used to promote their business. Every delegate will also receive a selection of creative gifts to take away.
