Larkfleet homes beats international competition to be named as best developer in northern Europe

BOURNE-based housebuilder Larkfleet Homes, part of the Larkfleet Group, has been named as ‘best developer in Northern Europe’ at the prestigious OPP Industry Awards.

OPP (Overseas Property Professional) is the world’s number one forum for property professionals and the awards are well considered in the property industry.

This award win rewards Larkfleet’s efforts in producing high quality, energy-efficient housing for people in the East of England.

Larkfleet’s winning entry focused on its Stable Yard development set in the outskirts of Oakham in Rutland.

The development comprises an exclusive selection of one, two and three bedroom properties. High quality apartments, houses, bungalows and cottages are offered by Larkfleet on the site.

Some properties on the Stable Yard development are Live/Work units. These properties include a home office and are uniquely designed so that the office has its own front door, keeping work and living spaces separate whilst cutting down on carbon emissions produced by the commute to work. The layout of these Live/Work houses means that they can be used as an office, annex, a teenager’s own room – the possibilities are endless.

Larkfleet’s Stable Yard development is close to some of the best schools in the country such as the prestigious Oakham, Uppingham and Stamford secondary schools so is in a prime location to attract families with children of schooling age to the area.

Larkfleet Homes’ managing director Karl Hick commented: “Larkfleet Homes is committed to providing high quality housing. This accolade serves as a reward for all the hard work of Larkfleet employees who maintain the company’s high building and business standards. I am delighted to receive this award from OPP as it serves as recognition of our reputation as a quality housing developer, not only in the UK but overseas as well.”

Larkfleet strongly believes that it will be preferred by homebuyers after being compared with other housebuilders against the quality of build, reputation, energy efficiency of the property and the overall sales experience. In fact, the high standard of environmental construction of Larkfleet’s properties could allow householders to save up to six hundred pounds a year in energy bills.

With house prices rising in many areas where Larkfleet boasts developments – including Oakham – the company is urging potential homebuyers to invest in a Larkfleet property to ensure a sound return on their investment in years to come.

Interest rates at an all time low and the equity schemes on offer from Larkfleet Homes mean that it can actually be cheaper to buy with Larkfleet than to rent a property in Oakham. Properties at the Stable Yard development are a fantastic investment opportunity for homebuyers from the UK and overseas.

The OPP award is yet another industry certification for the housebuilder which continues to be recognised by its peers in local and national construction and development awards.
