Law firm looks to save money on card art

Ms Mortlock: can't wait to see what she gets for £100.

ROYTHORNES Solicitors is launching a competition to find one talented local artist to create an eye-catching design for its new ‘moving card’.

Property is one of the law firm’s specialist areas and its expert team acts on behalf of many new homeowners. Therefore it’s ‘welcome to your new home card’ is sent to hundreds of clients when they buy and move into their new home.

The winner’s designs will not only be immortalised through print but will also receive a £100 cash prize and a stack of printed cards to keep.

Vember Mortlock (pictured above), managing director at Roythornes, said: “We are delighted to launch this competition as it’s a fantastic opportunity for a local artist to profile their name and artwork to more people. We’re big believers in supporting local talent and we thought this would be a nice way to get more involved in the area.

“Our strapline is ‘Big skies. Big thinking.’ so artists may want to consider incorporating this into their design however there are no other stylistic requirements – any medium is permitted and so long as the work is your own and you reside within the East Midlands or East Anglia you are eligible to enter.

“The deadline for the competition is 31 December and we will be announcing the winner on 1 February 2019. Good luck to everyone entering and I can’t wait to see what the talented artists of Cambridgeshire produce!”

EDITORIAL COMMENT

Peterboroughbusiness.co.uk thinks it would be a good idea if all the artists and graphic designers in Peterborough invited Roythornes to pitch for their conveyancing needs. If Roythornes is lucky enough to be chosen, the artist on the move would pay them £100. Immortality through property law is unlikely.
