Vivacity un-Tighed

KEVIN Tighe, chief executive of Vivacity, Peterborough’s arts and leisure organisation, has resigned from his post, having given staff just one day’s notice of his departure.

Mr Tighe has led Vivacity since its creation in 2010. At the time of writing, no reason had been given for his departure, which comes just days before the city’s Heritage Festival, organised and promoted by Vivacity.

Mr Tighe’s duties and responsibilities will be shared by Jon Marsden, director of sport and healthy living, and Shelagh Smith, chairperson, until a replacement has been found.
