Peterborough company becomes local movie star

RXG PBEMPLOYEES of Peterborough-based manufacturing business, Redring Xpelair Group, had the chance to become film stars for the day as they starred in the Greater Cambridge Greater Peterborough Enterprise Partnership’s (LEP) new exporting video campaign.

Redring Xpelair was chosen to take part in the Get Exporting campaign because it is a highly successful company which exports its goods to markets across the world. From innovative water heating to air quality solutions, Redring Xpelair is a fantastic ambassador for both Peterborough and the UK’s manufacturing industries.

Exporting has a reputation for being difficult, so the LEP launched Get Exporting; a campaign to give businesses the help, support and guidance they need to grow.

Starring alongside a cast of specialist companies from across Peterborough, Rutland, and Cambridgeshire, Redring Xpelair has become an internet film star, by sharing an insight into what it takes to become a successful exporter and the advantages exporting brings to a business.

Filmed by Peterborough-based production company, Posh Gecko, the Get Exporting series hopes to inspire more businesses to get exporting to increase their sales. Nitin Patel, CEO of Redring Xpelair, said, “We export as a result of being an international business. The way we become an international business is by getting to know our local markets in the countries we export to and really understanding their needs.”

Neil Darwin, Chief Executive of the Greater Cambridge Greater Peterborough LEP, said, “Redring Xpelair is a global business that enhances the GCGP area and its economy. The aim of the Get Exporting campaign is to encourage more businesses to export by sharing success stories of local companies.

“Quite simply, any business can export if it feels it has something to trade, and the LEP has contacts around the world that can help you get started. We are very grateful to businesses, like Redring Xpelair, who have taken time out of their busy schedules to share their insights into the world of exporting and hope that other businesses feel inspired to Get Exporting as a result.”

Martyn Moore, director at NorthLight Media, which has produced a series of videos for Redring Xpelair targeting specific overseas markets, said, “Video is a fantastic way to reach out across continents and do business overseas. The short films we have made showcase the products, the factories and the people at Redring Xpelair in a short, fast-moving, targeted way – ideal for quickly conveying an exciting message across borders.”

This NorthLight film was made for middle-eastern markets:
